Toddington to Chalton
Circular Route

Introduction

Starting in Toddington or Chalton this is a 5½ mile (8 km) walk over a mixture of grazing and arable fields, so it is good when the ground is dry, but the arable fields are difficult after recent ploughing. The grazing fields contain livestock and dogs need to be kept under close control. There is one stile and twenty gates on this route. The route links with the Fancott Wood and Meadow where an additional mile loop can be added. In good weather with firm ground allow about two and a half hours for the walk - not allowing for a pub stop!

There is restricted and unrestricted on-street parking around the centre of Toddington. Other parking is available at the Village Hall, off Leighton Road, subject to functions. Chalton has unrestricted on-street parking.

Start/Finish Point
The old pump on Toddington village green or the Star public house, Chalton.
